Description
Clinical neurophysiology is a diagnostic specialty concerned with the investigation of neuromuscular and central nervous system diseases. The disorders referred to us include epilepsy, carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve
entrapments, nerve injury and its prognosis, peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, MND and demyelination.
Referral Criteria
We receive adult and paediatric referrals for the following tests: Electroencephalography (EEG) Nerve conduction and electromyography (EMG) Evoked potentials More specialist procedures available include EEG videotelemetry, complex EMG, intraoperative monitoring, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
