Welcome to the Southampton NHS Treatment Centre
We’re here to provide high quality specialist care to the people of Hampshire, including Southampton and surrounding areas.
Whether you join us as a day patient, or you need more complex treatment that requires a longer stay with us, you’ll receive the best possible care – helping you to feel better, faster. We provide consultant-led investigations and assessments for health problems which may need surgery, for NHS patients. We provide surgery in our outpatient, day case or inpatient departments depending on your clinical needs. Our goal is to provide you with the fastest pathway to high quality assessment and treatment that we can.
Southampton NHS Treatment Centre is run by Care UK, an independent company that only provides services to NHS patients. We have an impressive track record in patient care and clinical success
Referral Criteria
It’s easy to refer a patient to the treatment centre. But before you do so, please check the following points as we will not be able to treat patients who do not meet these criteria. The patient must:
• have a Body Mass Index of 40 or less
• be 16 years old or over
• have no suspected cancers
• not have sickle cell anaemia, unstable insulin dependent diabetes, obstructive sleep apnoea, uncontrolled hypertension, previous adverse reaction to anaesthesia, renal failure or have had a cardiac arrest in the last six months.
