Description
The Face Place is the regional facial rehabilitation clinic dedicated to the treatment of patients with facial problems. It was opened in 2000 and is staffed by physiotherapists and a beauty therapist who are specially trained in the management of facial disorders.
The clinic is able to offer a wide range of treatments to aid patients in their recovery. The clinic has been designed to resemble a beauty salon where patients can undertake their treatment programme in a relaxed, safe and supportive environment. As part of the Wessex facial nerve centre, the face place team are committed to providing the patient with a holistic approach to treatment which addresses their physical and emotional needs.
Appointments
Appointments can take up to an hour, allowing patients time to discuss any problems or concerns, and ask any questions about treatment.
The team will use the time to gain a better understanding of your needs and how facial rehabilitation can benefit you. During your appointment a treatment plan will be developed with the team which can be implemented at home.
You will be reviewed approximately six to eight weeks after your first appointment so any progress can be monitored and any necessary adjustments can be made to your treatment programme.
